SERVICES WE OFFER

Everyone! If it comes in a box we build it.

We assemble and install all products designed for home or self assembly including furniture, play equipment, office cabinetry, garden furniture, gym equipment, AV wall cabinet installation, sheds and barbeques.

In addition to assembling your flat pack furniture your fitter can help with many ‘handyman’ jobs that always seem to need doing. For example we can hang pictures and blinds or wall fix shelves. Many of these jobs are available on a fixed price basis. Just click on the OTHER SERVICES tab for more info.

Yes this usually isn’t a problem. Many of these jobs are available on a fixed price basis. Just click on the OTHER SERVICES tab for more info.

Yes. This isn't included in the standard item build charge unless stated and has to be ordered as an extra. Please see the accessories tab on your item or find it in the OTHER SERVICES section.

Yes. From a single desk and chair to a full office fit-out we can help. To date our largest office installation was for a 75 workstation office complete with reception suite, board room and document storage. All impeccably completed within 1 day.
Please see the OFFICE FURNITTURE INSTALLATION SERVICES link at the foot of this page.

Asking him to cook dinner for you probably isn’t a good idea!
More seriously, you can’t ask him to work in any unsafe conditions. For example areas where building work is going on and live electricity may be exposed.
You can’t ask him to look after any children under 16 whilst you pop out because they are not trained child minders.
If we are left alone in your property to work we will not open the door if someone calls unless directed to do so, for example to sign for a delivery (which we are happy to do).
We will not undertake any electrical work that requires connection to your property’s ring main or any plumbing work.

We allways try and help, but please let us know in advance if you can.
Your fitter may have another job to go to after yours and it isn’t fair to leave another customer waiting. If we know the size of your job is increasing we can always make adjustments to the schedule.

Yes you can. Just contact us for more information.

We always send the right number of people for your job. Customers are often amazed how much furniture one fitter can assemble in a day!

Probably not. Our fitters are experienced professionals who know how to handle large items safely.  Your supplier’s recommendations relate to untrained members of the public and are there to protect them from possible litigation should someone sustain an injury whilst assembling their products.

Yes. All our workmanship is covered by a 12 month warranty on the assembly of the furniture. This applies only to the assembly and does not replace your supplier’s warranty for the product.

To an extent. We can often cut access panels for plug sockets etc.More complex work may be available on an hourly rate.

One of the beauties of flatpack is that it comes apart again. There is no need to leave your wardrobes behind when you move.  Your Unflatpack fitter will ensure that your furniture is disassembled carefully and properly prepared for transportation by your carrier.  At your new home we will reassemble the furniture correctly ready for you to unpack into.

We have disassembled and reassembled one customer’s wardrobe 3 times over the years and it still works really well.
Please see the DISASSEMBLY tab above for much more info.
Please see the DISASSEMBY PRICING faq for more information on costs.

If we are making 2 visits on separate dates then we should be able to give you a fixed price for each visit. If you require us to follow the load or help load / unload the furniture and reassemble on the same day then travel/time charges will apply.

Sorry No.
Many charities now recycle furniture. Why not google the Furniture Reuse Network?

In general No. We can’t tell you if a repair is possible until we make a site visit which is subject to a £50 minimum charge regardless if we can repair it or not. If our fitter is already coming to assemble other furniture, then we will happily have a look. We would be grateful if you could let us know this is required when you book so we can allow for this when scheduling your fitter’s next appointment.

Your boxes are treated as commercial waste and can only be handled by persons holding a waste transfer license. Please be wary of anyone offering to do this for you. Fly-tipped boxes with your name and address on could lead to a fine of up to £10,000 each for both parties.
We always fold boxes and tidy packaging into waste disposal bags if you have them available. Packaging will be left in the corner of the assembly room for you to put out for the recycling.

Great question, as much as possible. Most wardrobes require that they are laid on their front during the assembly process to fix the back on. So we will need that much clear space and an additional metre in each direction. Please contact your supplier if you need advice on this. Please also ensure that you have cleared the space before we arrive to avoid any additional charges.
